A new Journey to open a second location became a reality this year. We wanted to have a place for the locals in Louisiana near Lafayette to have an escape from the bustle of work and everyday. Just to test out camping gear, test out camping with the baby's ? The ability to bail if need be? You are 30 mins from the city and 15 to a near by town. We have the opportunity to have water on the property , so that helps when your visiting the Louisiana site. Where Arkansas is raw and so natural, you are still 10mins from town so you could get to a store if need be..but things close down early in Arkansas. That creates a different vibe? We are still in the process of cleaning up the property with all the land in Louisiana , we did open the sites, but its been raining preventing us from getting it like we need it. Parking maybe a bit tricky. Hints the need for 12 hours to make sure we can accommodate the rental for our guest. I am supper excited to bring this new location to life, and see it grow!! I am enjoying the wild life we have seen and heard on the location. The coyotes, the armadillos, the Owls and hawks that frequent every night! Raccoons! Its so fun to wait to see what comes out when your sitting still. Having bug spray this summer has been a must!!! As we enter the fall , my favorite season!! I look forward to many campfires!!
